Sunshine Lights Up Southern Indiana

As the USAC Sprint series winds down for the season, the heat is on for the chase to earn the USAC Sprint Championship title. On Friday, Montpelier Motor Speedway lit up as Sunshine and the rest of the non wing cars hit the dirt. Sunshine had a great qualifying round, qualifying 3rd fast out of 28 cars. The heat race was a thriller with Sunshine just squeaking by to make the cut for the Feature. He started 4th in the Feature and after a tough battle, ended the night in 6th place.

Saturday night at Lawrenceburg Speedway was sure to be a nail biter, as the series was racing for a $10,000 purse for first place. The team qualified 16th out of 24 cars and then proceeded to run away with the heat race win. Our starting position in the Feature was toward the back, so Sunshine had his work cut out for him. With determination and stride, Sunshine worked his way through the field and earned the Hard Charger Award for the evening, starting from 16th place and finishing in 5th.

Sunshine currently sits at 4th in the USAC National Sprint points with FIVE races left in the season! We're headed out to the West coast in early November - hope to see you there!

Next up: Arizona Speedway on Nov. 3
