The sun was surely shining this weekend on Southern Indiana where the TOPP Motorsports team headed with the 23c non-wing car with Sunshine and the USAC AMSOIL sprint cars. We started off the weekend at Bloomington Speedway on Friday. After a tough time during qualifying, Tyler put the pedal to the metal and won his heat race, giving him a 19th starting position in the feature. Tyler battled his way toward the front, and in the end earned a 16th place finish in the feature race.
The next day, the team traveled about an hour South to Haubstadt, Indiana for the next round of racing at Tri-State Speedway. Qualifying certainly went better this time around and Tyler finished 4th in his heat race, transferring the the feature. He started 12th in the feature and ended up finishing 13th.
After that weekend of racing, Tyler is 8th place in USAC points, with the TOPP Motorsports team 9th in points.
Tyler and the team are ready for the next race near our home turf at Plymouth Speedway on Friday, April 21st!
